Renewables for All

Community Energy Solutions is partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County to bring renewable energy systems to two Habitat for Humanity homes in Suquamish. This is an important collaboration as we believe that renewable energy should be accessible for everyone, not just for those who can afford it.

With domestic hot water heating being the second highest energy expense after space heating in a household, solar thermal system for pre-heating domestic hot water will go a long way to help relieve some of the burden of rising energy costs for many years, especially for those with limited incomes. Funds raised for the project will go to purchase the necessary compoents of the systems. We will adopt the Habitat for Humanity's mdoel for the installation process by training apprentices as well as interested pipe-fitters and electricians to add to their skills.
