Bainbridge Island City Hall Community Solar Project
On December 14th, 2011 Community Energy Solutions received the green light from the City of Bainbridge Island City Council to develop a Community Solar Project on its City Hall building. The administrator of this project will be Community Solar Solutions (CSS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Community Energy Solutions. CSS will seek to expedite the completion of the project with a maximum system size allowed by the Washington State community solar law. This project will not only add more local clean energy capacity to Bainbridge Island, it will provide a revenue stream to the City at no cost. To learn more about the project please click here.
We are extremely grateful to Dorsey and Whitney, LLP for their generous pro bono legal advice throughout the entire lease agreement negotiation with the City of Bainbridge Island.

Go Solar Bainbridge

While Community Energy Solutions has completed the workshops for Go Solar Bainbridge, the campaign is now kicked into high gear. Sunergy Systems, the pre-selected Bainbridge campaign solar installation company has added two solar design consultants so that they can finish the free site assessments on time. Many Islanders recognize the benefits that this campaign brings to their pocket books, the community, and the environment. As a result, we have seen an impressive follow through with solar contacts. For an up-to-date campaign progress, please visit the Go Solar Washington website, Sunshine Report.
When it comes to clean energy choices, Bainbridge Island is definitely taking a leadership role.
Go Solar Bellingham

An equally, if not more exciting Go Solar campaign is getting into a full swing in Bellingham. Go Solar Bellingham team includes Western Solar, a Bellingham based solar installer and iTek Energy, also Bellingham based modules manufacturer. It is particularly inspring to see many of the 120+ workshop attendees asked for their free site assessments immediately following the workshops. For an up-to-date campaign progress, please visit the Go Solar Washington website, Sunshine Report.
