 ENERGY UPDATE
Bainbridge Island electricity peak consumption is close to the full capacity of the existing power transmission substations. Puget Sound Energy is making plans for an additional power transmission substation within the next two to three years.

 On October 3, 2008, US Congress passed historic legislation that extends the 30-percent federal investment tax credit for both residential and commercial solar installations for 8 years as part of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.
